The Kauffmann Group Donates Significant Repair to Parking Lot at PHILLIPS Programs for Children and Families
ANNANDALE, Va. (July 13, 2015)—The Kaufmann Group, a Leesburg-based construction firm specializing in concrete, grading and paving, donated a major repair to the parking lot at PHILLIPS Programs for Children and Families, a regional nonprofit helping youth with a variety of challenges and qualities succeed. The Kauffman Group became aware of the need through one of PHILLIPS’ supporters, Karen Garvin, AHT Insurance, who serves on the Outreach Committee of the Heavy Construction Contractors Association. The HCCA supports various nonprofits. Glenn Kauffman is a member of the board of directors of HCCA.
“The Kauffmann Group was so gracious and generous in their support of PHILLIPS," said Piper Phillips Caswell, CEO, PHILLIPS Programs. “They exemplify the community support that helps make nonprofits like ours successful. The money saved through this paving donation will now be leveraged to help more struggling youth.”
The Kauffman Group, a family owned business started 30 years ago, provides a wide range of services for homebuilders, residential, commercial developers, general contractors and private homeowners throughout Northern Virginia. A team from The Kauffmann Group spent a day patching a large area in the bus circle at PHILLIPS’ Annandale School, saving PHILLIPS $6,000.
Kauffman said, The Kauffman Group working as a member of the Heavy Construction Contractors Association work collectively to make a positive impact on the construction industry, environment and the local economy for the benefit of Northern Virginia. We were honored to help this vital program.”
